The seven Ontario regional prospectors associations are affiliated with the newly restructured Ontario Prospectors Association (OPA). The OPA provides a united voice for all groups to assist in solving the issues that plague the prospecting, quarrying, and mining industry in Ontario. News releases and symposia are but a few of the other services the OPA provides to the members and mining companies. The Sudbury Prospectors & Developers Association (SPDA) constitution does not require its members to join the OPA, but non-members will not receive the newsletters, symposia, information, and you will not be entitled to receive assistance from the OPA regarding land access, claims, assessment work, etc. At this time, the OPA dues are $53.50 (including GST) of which $20.00 is returned to one of the seven local associations of your choice. When completing a registration form at a symposium, please specify which association you want to be affiliated with. You will be required to join the OPA to participate in a symposium, regardless of which group is hosting it. The fee schedule for SPDA membership and/or OPA membership is listed below. Corporate sponsorships are always welcome. Please contact the SPDA or OPA for corporate membership rates.
Download a membership form for the SPDA. Go to the OPA website for an OPA membership form. |
